French 75 with Cointreau

French 75, the name of the cocktail sounds fancy in itself, and when served in the correct glass, it looks really fancy too. The drink is ready in no time. We have given the original recipe a small twist by adding some Cointreau.

Ingredients (for 2 or 3 cocktails)

  • 30 ml gin (wij gebruikten Bombay Sapphire)
  • 10 ml triple sec (e.g. Cointreau)
  • 10 ml sugar syrup
  • 20 ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • champagne or prosecco
  • lemon zest

How to prepare?

Add all ingredients combined with ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake well until all is smooth. Distribute the drink over 2 elegant glasses and top off with champagne. Garnish with lemon zest.

Do you like more bubbles and a bit less alcohol? Then narrow down the lemon-alcohol mixture and add proportionally more champagne into the glass.
