Hotel One Shot Palacio Reina Victoria 04, Valencia

Some pretty pictures on the website and the fact that it’s apparently the oldest hotel in Valencia, made us decide to book a stay in the One Shot Palacio Reina Victoria 04. The hotel is part of the One Shot Group, that manages a group of hotels that all have a nice design and triple A location in common. They offer that young vibrant city atmosphere with a dash of luxury, all at very reasonable prices.

Perfect place in Valencia

1913 was the year when the building of One Shot Palacio Reina Victoria 04 hotel ingehuldigd was inaugurated as the first and most emblematic hotel in the city. The classical style represents the vision of the early Twentieth century local architect Luis Ferreres Soler. In 2016 the hotel was fully renovated in 2016 by the Alfaro-Manrique architecture firm, using natural materials (wood, iron or ceramic) and reinterpreting its historical character in an elegant and modern way.

The location of the hotel is exquisite, as it’s only a couple of minutes walking from the main shopping streets and the old city center. The Plaza del Ayuntamiento and the Estació del Nord train station are just around the corner as well.

Sleep, work, relax

All 85 rooms in the One Shot Palacio Reina Victoria 04 are stylish and comfortable. We chose the Junior Suite, because of the impressive bed and rain shower. And luckily that bed and shower are not just pretty, but also super comfortable.

The living room in this room type is also very nice, especially when you are staying here a couple of days and when you are planning to get some work done as well. You can spend several hours in the rooms, without feeling suffocated (which is unfortunately the case in some hotels).

More than a good nights sleep

The hotel has many nicely designed details, which make it a fun environment to be in. The stairs, the reception, the lightning… it’s all stylish and unique.

In case you’re hungry, there’s no need to go out, as the hotel has it’s own restaurant, serving a variety of local and international dishes. However, discovering the city with all it’s nice places to eat is also highly recommended.
