“The most beautiful place to spend the night in Antwerp”, that was the answer we received almost unanimously when we asked several people what to expect from Hotel De Witte Lelie in Antwerp. We have to admit; this hotel really is a hidden treasure in the city centre. With hidden we mean that the clean, impressive three wall façade only reveals a small piece of the grandeur of De Witte Lelie. Everyone entering the building through the stately gate receives a warm and personal welcome, which is quite exceptional these days, but it shows why this place is so special. Here, you are at home.
Gorgeous interior design
From the first step until the most remote room, the design of Hotel De Witte Lelie simply turns you speechless. The majestic building was built in the 17th century and with its authentic elements and spacious rooms it is a magnificent base for an even more impressive interior. Superlatives simply fail. 🙂 Fancy fabrics, striking wallpaper, beautiful mosaics…. These are just a couple of elements giving the hotel its unique and stylish character. All small details fit like puzzle pieces, a warm and homey atmosphere with a great luxurious feeling as a result.
Feeling at home in a hotel
Because Hotel De Witte Lelie only has 10 rooms, the atmosphere is very intimate, relaxed and modest. Don’t feel like staying in your room? No problem at all, during summer it is just fantastic to spend some time in the garden. The fire place and the soft, warm fabrics in the salons will make you feel wonderfully comfortable all year long. Fancy a drink? Excellent. Sit back and relax in the intimate, trendy Bronze Bar and enjoy a nice glass of wine or something else. As you will feel completely relaxed everywhere in the hotel, you will really feel at home.
Sleeping at Hotel De Witte Lelie
Each one of the 10 rooms in Hotel De Witte Lelie is unique and designed specifically to suit the space. Next to Wi-Fi, air conditioning, TV and audio systems, free mini bar (fruit and water inclusive) and the Hermès toiletries, the Treca de Paris beds will make sure you will sleep like a baby. There are 5 types of rooms, from cosy duplex-rooms to more spacious deluxe rooms and several suites. The two Luxury Suites are without a doubt the most impressive ones, mainly because of the unique, lush prints and the stunning bathroom.
Facilities
You can also count on a number of hotel facilities at De Witte Lelie as can be expected from a hotel with class. At the reception, you will be personally welcomed 24/7, there is a private parking with a Tesla charging station and you can even count on city guides or personal shoppers should you have an interest in those.
Breakfast – the Witte Lelie way
There is no such thing as a hotel stay without a breakfast, as this just completes the picture. At De Witte Lelie breakfast is completely aligned with the rest of the hotel experience. The light, modern space immediately creates the correct atmosphere. Because your eggs are cooked in the open kitchen, the homey feeling comes straight back. Next to crispy rolls, light butter croissants and fresh granola, you can also enjoy a fine selection of cheeses, fish and meat. Fresh orange juice and a cup of perfectly brewed coffee should also not be missed. It is maybe a bit decadent, but a piece of freshly baked apple pie is just irresistible for breakfast. Starting the day with pie, just because you can. Simply delicious! 🙂

Our conclusion is really quite simple, Hotel De Witte Lelie is in fact the most beautiful place to spend the night in Antwerp. The warm welcome, the beautiful, eclectic interior and the homey atmosphere create the perfect hotel experience. If you stay here, you will truly feel pampered. We have rarely seen a place where your eyes and all other senses can enjoy everything like they do here, and this during your entire stay. This address is one to strike off our bucket list, but nevertheless we would gladly like to come back. 🙂
